Further update! Blushing Blushing Julie is hanging upside down from Nelson's column and the fire brigade have been summonsed to get her down! ThumbDown ThumbDown Lyn has cut all the feathers from our other Julie's hat which now looks quite bald. Confused However, Jean is splashing around in the fountains trying to catch a kipper which she feels would look equally impressive on Julie's head. Laugh Doreen's thingymabob is sitting on double yellows and my feeling is that she will not be able to get the lump of metal fastened to the rear wheel off before the wedding procession tomorrow. Sad She is blissfully unaware as she is cavorting with German tourists who are cooking their barbeque on the foil on Jean's commode. RollEyes Very sweet really as they have spread the purple velvet covering on the ground for us all to sit on and share their food. Blink Blink Oops!! Julie is being winched down but the tv cameras have turned up! Jean is running towards them, as is Doreen as they want to be on the news. Huh Kathleen and I are here on the velvet spread eating sausages and wearing our hats. Kathleen is like a beacon in the dark as she rolls about singing rugby songs to remind people that the Welsh are British too while slogging her malt straight from the bottle. Must go now as I feel that I must compete, after some medicinal pernod, with a few verses of Flower of Scotland. ThumpUp A very dignified, serene night out so far. Smile Smile

A quick update from me......

I hope they let us all out of these cells soon or we are going to miss the wedding! Blushing

We didn't think much to the bread and water they gave us for breakfast, thank goodness Eleanor smuggled in what was left of her seedcake.

I'm really not surprised certain members of the party have been locked up. I'm certainly not going out with Lyn again after this morning. I KNOW B looked a sight in that Viv Westwod outfit, and the hat DID look better without the danglers and half it's original height, but the fact remains, she shouldn't have done it. And who had the bright idea of sitting her directly behind The Princess Royal? I've said for years that she could do with a good haircut, but to leave her with three rats tails dangling down was just cruel. I suppose we have to be thankful for small mercies in that the Abbey was carpeted, otherwise we would all have heard Dor clattering down the aisle in her 8" gold stillettos pushing that tea trolley complete with urn, sandwiches and Eleanor's cake. As for trying to flog the remains as an NRAS fundraiser - very bad taste. Eleanor, however, committed a crime punishable by death. Who in their right minds asks the bride, on her wedding day, if she can have a piece of her dress, as the lace would be just right as a curtain in her loo? Then to add insult to injury she asked a large number of guests which Primark store supplied their outfit.

I'm thrilled Kathleen has been asked to appear on the balcony with the Royals. I think they have done it as a cost cutting exercise. They won't need the beacons to guide the Red Arrows in, asthe lighthouse will do the job. Oh, one last thing - WE must hold Julie down, otherwise she will be shinning up the palace and hauling herself onto the balcony. Strange woman.

WELL---that was embarrassing wasn't it? I couldn't belive it when I saw Dors caravanny thingy crossing in front of the bridal car and making her late for the abbey.
And fancy you Jean-of all people, rocking that horse drawn carriage so that Phillip couldn't get in it.
And I just KNEW that you others- and you know who you were--- would try and smuggle themselves in under Kate's train.

Well what a smashing do folks! I'm glad we put the hours in planning our outfits, we certainly looked a picture ... just not sure which one though Scared I knew B needed a few 'edges' trimming here and there and I'm always happy to oblige. What did you guys think of the neatly manicured trees in the Abbey? Smart eh? Blink I knew the variety of scissor blades would come in handy. Hmm... perhaps I'll bring them to Stratford and look out for one or two new models.

I thought it was rather a good idea of Doreen's putting on an impromptu fundraiser, don't know why people were so upset Confused . I mean you can't go missing opportunities like that! That lace would have looked so good at Eleanor's loo window, but I agree she should have waited 'til after the wedding. Is she still in custody? Poor Eleanor Sad And where's Kathleen? Is she still gallivanting round Buck House?

And Jean, poor Phil having to struggle to get into that carriage, Liz had to give him a helping hand. That was a bit meanThumbDown Just because he grabbed the last slice of the cake from Doreen's trolley is no reason to try to maim him RollEyes That cake was well and truly hidden in his pocket!

As for trains ... I love train rides ThumpUp

Where we off next guys? No letting the grass grow ... snip, snip, snip Cool

I couldn't bring my caravan thingy home because it got trampled in the crowds!

It was a good do wasn't it, luckily I arrived in time, just had to delay the bride while I got to my place.

Honestly though.....Kathleen and Eleanor !RollEyes Blushing RollEyes . They profess to be the pillars of decorum!

I have never felt so embarrassed in my whole life!Blushing

I suppose we will have to bail them out tomorrow..........either that or bribe the judge with the seed cake again.LOL LOL

The Archbishop.....well, that is another story.
I was surprised he took it so well.Blushing
I don't think we can take Jean there again.

Oh, I`m so relieved that Doreen got home safely - when we all got separated I looked all over for her, but I finally found her in one of the guards` sentry boxes, though I didn`t like to ask where she got the uniform from.

Harry did indeed have a lucky escape, but as Doreen said, the poor Archbishop - Jean will never live it down. I`m glad Lyn improved B`s hat, though I did feel sorry for the Princess Royal when Lyn had finished her trimming.

And what possessed Eleanor to ask about the lace? She must have eaten too much cake, and Pernod always has a strange effect on her.

I`m so glad I was able to help Julie by throwing a rope down from the balcony - made it far easier for her to join us. It`s just a pity she didn`t think to pull it up after her, before the two little page boys decided to slide down it.

It`s a shame all our seats got mixed up in the Abbey - I think we were all meant to be together, but it didn`t seem to work out that way, though I could see Eleanor from my seat. I heard her telling Victoria Beckham she`d ruin her feet in those high heels, and that it wouldn`t hurt her to smile more often. That`s Eleanor - she means well, though VB turned down the loan of one of Julie`s knitted cushions.

I never managed to get a cuppa from Doreen`s trolley, and there didn`t seem to be an ice cream seller either - Lyn said she`d nip out and get us all a 99, but she got side-tracked chopping things up. Did you notice the lop-sided maple tree nearest the door? At least she didn`t have a go at the red carpet - lets all be thankful for small mercies.

Anyway, a good time was had by all. Perhaps we`ll all go to Her Majesty`s Diamond Jubilee celebrations - I hear there`s going to be a pageant on the Thames - I think we`d all enjoy boating, don`t you girls?

Well! What a to do! Sad Another lovely day and night. My tongue is hanging out here Tongue Tongue as I am so dry! It was a tiring time but so special. I have never laughed and cried so much for a long time! LOL

Saying that, the day did not go without the usual candidates showing us up. Blushing There was Doreen reading palms from the back of her caravan on the mall. Blink Confused She was making so much money from the guests that they almost missed the coaches waiting to go to the cathedral. Blushing Then there was Julie selling her cushion pads to the same guests as they came out of the coach at the church. Blink As a result, there were no cushions left for us!!ThumbDown

Just as we settled down in the pews, Lyn was seen to be snipping at peoples hair without permission. Scared I thought that the archbishop was very understanding but didn't think that it was at all fair when Doreen and Julie had to give him the proceeds of their fund raising as compensation.Confused ThumbDown

Then Julie disappeared and was then knocking hats of people's heads as she swung around in the trees. Wub I didn't know where to put myself when she knocked Elton's wig off. Then when she impaled herself on Tara's hat I had to have a swig of my medicinal Pernod. Blushing As well as this, I didn't think it at all becoming when Kathleen started to sing 'why are we waiting' off key before the bride arrived. Just as well that I was there to join in and bring a bit of a tune to it! BigGrin It was a shock when we were taken to the tower but we had a nice time there singing, eating cake and drinking medicinal pernod and fine malt. Smile We got out in time for the evening do though.Cool

The high point for me was serving the evening guests the burgers and bacon rolls from Doreens caravan. The commode was just the thing for selling the ice cream too. ThumpUp I was so proud when Julie did her belly dancing and Doreen and Jean danced around the pole. Just a shame that it took down the marquee it was attached to but what the heck - it was a party!Wub

Kathleen, that guard was last seen running down the mall wearing Doreens wedding outfit! Saw it on the news this morning. Scared As well as this, Julie was up the top of a lamp post in Trafalger Square with her flimsy dress on. We really need to accompany her shopping for more suitable clothing if she insists on climbing! A boiler suit perhaps! Confused

Oh Kathleen! What a good idea to attend the pageant on the Thames. What about hiring QE2?

Ah......now, Kathleen and Eleanor; VB is another story altogether. When she arrived she was wearing an outfit with an asymetric hemline - when she left it was straight. Lyn explained that it didn't look tidy, so took it upon herself to attend to it. Elton's wig was another casualty, I'm afraid. It looked a little different when he put it back on. As for VB's shoes, she caught one of her heels in the wheel of Dor's tea trolley and we had to take her out in the wheeled commode. I don't know why, but she didn't smile once.

Now, do tell me - what DID I do to the Archbish? I had had several of Eleanor's pernod's and 5 slices of cake, so I really don't remember. Did I cartwheel in front of him and show my knickers?

Glad everyone is home safe and sound. Didn't we have a WONDERFUL DAY? Let's do it all again - soon!

Yes---we sort of expect it now though don't we?

I'm not sure--and don't quote me on this-- but I am convinced I saw what resembled Jean's knickers fluttering from the back of that Aston Martin.

I thought Harry looked rather sweet in that open topped bowlful of children.

It wouldn`t have been so bad if Jean hadn`t decided to wear the big sparkly pink bloomers.Blushing
